The Siberian Tiger

The Siberian tiger is a mammal.  Its length is 10 3/4 long.  Their weight is 660 pounds.  The color of the Siberian tiger is pale orange with black stripes.  Its life span is up to fifteen years.  One of their many physical features is its retractable claws.  That allows them to walk silently then pounce on their prey without being heard.  The stripes are camouflage.  That is used for prey not to see them.

Siberian tigers live in forests of Asia,  northern China and Manchuria.  Its life cycle is 1 embryo 2 infant 3 cub 4 adult.

They eat deer, pigs, antelope, cattle, buffalo, even young elephants.

Siberian tigers have some very interesting facts.  Its scientific name is panthera tigris altaica.  The roar of a Siberian tiger can be heard more than one mile away.  It's very fast on short distances.  They are able to leap 10 feet in one bound.  They will attack bears if it is desperately hungry.

Siberian tigers are the largest out of the whole cat family.  I read that Siberian  tigers may live in the coldest climate.  They can carry half of its body weight.  A porcupine may cripple this tiger along with many other mammals.  They have the largest teeth of the cat family ever since the saber tooth tiger died out.
