The Maltese Dog

The Maltese has a very pure white fur. Male Maltese's are 8-10 inches [21-25cm]. A female Maltese is 8-9 inches [20-23cm]. They weigh 6 1\2-9 pounds [3-4Kg.]. They have a black nose. The first Maltese dog was shown as  "Maltese lion dog". The Maltese became the Maltese in 1888.  

 

The Maltese is bold and quick. They are highly intelligent. They are lap dogs. The Maltese dog likes to eat dog biscuits so their teeth are strong.

 

Their life span is 12 to 14 years.  Their life cycle is embryo, infant, young animal to adult.

 

Did you know that Queen Victoria had a Maltese of her own in England with her?

 

The Maltese is fine boned and very sturdy. 

 

The Maltese is also feisty.
