I went to see Old Fort Niagara.  The history of the fort spans over 300 years.  It was first established by the French.  Britain gained control of the fort in 1759 during the French and Indian War.  On the day of my visit there was a
re-enactment.  I saw French soldiers in their uniforms.  I had to plug my ears when they fired the cannon because it was very loud.  We went into the large building called the French Castle.  It is the oldest building in the Great Lakes Area.
