The Snowy Owl

The wingspan of the snowy owl  is 170 centimeters.  The length of the body is 20 inches. The female bird is usually bigger than the male. Their legs and feet are covered in white feathers. 
Snowy owls  live in dry, country sides. They also live in the Arctic. 
They eat rabbits, mice, sea birds, and some fish.  Males catch the food.
 
The life cycle of the snowy owl is egg, baby owl, and adult.  They lay 5 to 8 eggs.   The male and the female feed the baby owls. The baby owls leave the nest 25 days after birth.
Some interesting facts about snowy owls are:
  • Other owls come out at night, but  snowy owls come out during the day. 
  • Males stay with their mates for many years.
